There is Can You Figure Language? and Crazy Critters are Figuratively Fantastic.  Both figurative language lesson plans would be appropriate for grades 6-8 and include the figurative language printables and worksheets that you need.

Lesson Planz has two figurative language printable worksheets that deal with similes and metaphors through poetry.  These worksheets would be appropriate for grades 6-8 and would make an excellent addition to your figurative language lesson plans.
